Sky – Spanish Pointer

Sky is a beautiful Spanish Pointer of around 4 years of age.   He was found seriously beaten and covered in blood, and survived the perrera (kill shelter) where other dogs were attacking him.  He arrived in a state of shock at a refuge in Spain and was at death’s door, but he fought hard and made a miraculous recovery! He has been in this refuge for more than 2 years. We cannot understand why Sky is still looking for a home.   He is full of energy.   He is good with other dogs and likes to play.   His ideal home would be with an active family. Sky is so ready for...

Loki

Loki

Loki is a gorgeous, 6/7 month old neutered Lurcher puppy.   He is currently in temporary foster, but needs a puppy experienced foster home, or forever home as soon as possible.   As he is so young, he will need owners who are committed to continuing with his training, and to setting boundaries using positive methods only. Loki can live with other dogs, but he is still a big, mouthy puppy, so we are looking for a home where any children are teenage/older.  We would prefer a home with a secure garden. If you would like to find out more about Loki please get in touch with us by using the...

Samson

Samson is a stunning Lurcher boy and is around 3 years old.   Before he came into rescue he was kept in a cellar with three female dogs, so did not have a very happy start in life.   At the kennels Samson walks well with another Lurcher, Judy, and is fine walking by other dogs in the kennels.   Outside of the kennels he is fine with some dogs, but can be unsettled around others.  He can be worried by sudden noises outside. Samson can also be worried by strangers, but it does not take him very long to warm up to people.    He very quickly grew to love all the kennel volunteers and is...

Negrita

Negrita is a black Labrador X.   Before she was rescued she was kept chained to a tree day and night.   All she had to eat was horse fodder and she drank from a pot of water nearby.   She had absolutely no shelter and the poor girl must have been freezing at night. Negrita is approximately 2 years old.   She is very healthy and is well-behaved and obedient.   She is good with both dogs and cats.   She is wonderful with children.   Although Negrita is safe now at the residence she needs a home where she will have the freedom to run, play and have fun.   Negrita would blossom...

Leon

Leon is a big, beautiful Mastin who was rescued from a horrific situation along with more than 90 other dogs.   He lived a life of misery and hell and was chained, neglected and used as a punchbag by local youths – a situation from which he could not escape.   Before he was rescued Leon had never experienced love or affection in the whole of his life.     Despite all this, he is a gentle giant who will bring years of happiness, cuddles and licks in return for the love and comfort of a forever home.   Leon is now ready to travel to the UK/Europe. If you are interested in...

Judy

Judy is a 3yr old, Lurcher girl. She is of medium size and has previously been kept as a pet. She is fine with most people, but can be a bit hesitant with tall men, or men she does not know. Once she gets to know you though she is very affectionate. She has been fine with any children she has met, but would probably be best suited to a home with older children/teenagers. Judy likes some dogs, but does not like others, so would be best as an only pet . Judy does NOT like squirrels, so may not be able to live with a cat. Judy travels well in the car and walks well onlead. She knows how to sit...

Chunk & Baxter

We are Chunk & Baxter Due to a change in the owner’s personal circumstances Chunk (f) and Baxter (m) are looking for a new home together.  They are just over 3yrs old (May 2010).   They were born in our rescue and went to the same home within a few weeks of each other and so we would prefer to rehome them together.  They are spayed/neutered and microchipped. They walk well onlead, they have good recall and are great off lead too, but do run around a lot, so should only be let off in secure areas. However, they should not be offlead around sheep or livestock. On the rare occasion...

Fifi

Sadly Fifi died suddenly in the house on the 27th of January 2015.   She was known as Fee by all at the kennels and was everybody’s wee Terrier.   She was loved so much and is missed dreadfully, especially by her wee pal Pudding.   Have fun at the bridge wee Fee xx Fifi is a Patterdale Terrier.   She is very vocal and loves toys and playing.   Just like the typical wee Terrier she is into everything!  She is happy to sleep in her crate.   We don’t think she has been around other dogs very much, so she would be have to be the only pet in the household.   She must be...
