Molly

Molly is a beautiful ex-racing Greyhound and is 5.5 years old. When she was still racing she shared a kennel with Rockie, another one of our homeless Greyhounds. Molly is a very friendly girl who is always clean in her kennel, she settles down onlead and travels well in the car. She has been out with the rescue on a number of fundraisers where she enjoyed being petted and was fine around children and other dogs. Recently, Molly has been visiting a volunteer’s home and staying for the day. There are 3 Greyhounds, a Labrador, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, and a Podenca living there. She...

Rockie

Rockie is an ex-racing Greyhound and is 5.5yrs old.   He is neutered, chipped and has had his teeth scaled and polished.  When Rockie was still racing he shared a kennel with Molly, another one of our homeless Greyhounds.   He is very good-natured and is usually quite a quiet boy.   He travels well in the car, he likes people, and really enjoys his walks with the volunteers at the kennels.   Like Molly, he behaved very well at fundraisers for the rescue, even when other dogs ran up to him and were misbehaving around him. If you would like to find out more about Rockie please get in...

Romeo and Juliet

These two adorable Labradors are called Romeo and Juliet.   They were given these names by the rescue as they are so much in love!!   They are completely devoted to one another, and would be miserable living without each other, so they must go to a home together. They were found living with squatters in the centre of a large town near Seville, eating from trash cans as the squatters did not provide for them.   They were in danger of being taken to the killing station when neighbours complained about them, and were also in danger of being killed on the roads, so they were taken into...

Nala

Nala is a stunning 15 month old Galga (female Spanish Greyhound). She came to the UK from a Spanish rescue and is currently in a foster home in Glasgow where she is living with 3 Greyhounds, a Labrador and a Staffie X. Nala is very small for a Galga, she’s more like Whippet X size. Her body is perfect and delicate and she walks very elegantly.   She is still a little puppy-like in her behaviour and she really likes to play. She is a very affectionate girl. Nala will sleep overnight in a crate without a sound, she is housetrained and walks well on the lead.   She will need a home...

Bruno

Bruno is a black (not brown) little boy of 2 or 3 years of age.   He was found straying with four other dogs in the fields of Cordova.   Sweet Bruno has a lovely character.   He is young and outgoing and is a dear little chap who would love to live with a family of his own. Unfortunately, black dogs have very little chance of finding a home in Spain, so we are looking for a home in the UK/Europe. If you would like to find out more about Bruno please use the contact page, or send a message to Maria Gloria Salinas-picon on the “Rescue Group for Spanish Animals” facebook...

Lobito

Sweet Lobito (little wolf) is an Orito Podenco.   His owners abandoned him – when they moved house they left him behind.   Lobito waited faithfully for weeks, lying on the road outside becoming thinner and thinner. Lobito is now approximately 9 – 10 months old.    He has the sweetest of natures and gets on with everyone!   He is a very friendly dog, very affectionate and desperate for a family of his own.  Lobito has so much love to give.   The poor boy must wonder why no-one wants him any...

Rupert

This sweet boy is Rupert, a Labrador X, abandoned by his owners and found living on the streets in Huelva – a very dangerous place to be.   He was skin and bones, lonely and afraid.   Someone had kindly put down food and water for him, but others were kicking him and chasing him away.   They wanted the police to take him to the pound where he would be destroyed. Rupert is a very loving boy, around 2 years old.   He has obviously been someone’s pet at one time because he is so willing to obey and is desperate for love and attention, despite all of the abuse he has...

5 Galgo puppies looking for homes

These 5 beautiful pups were born inside a derelict building in Spain.   Their mum, Gala cared for them so well.   She would go and beg for food at restaurants where she thought the people were friendly and a barman saved her food every day.   These people asked the rescue for help, but they did not know where the pups were hidden, so Gala could not be rescued or the pups would die.   Finally, the hideout was found and they were all immediately transported to the safety of a residence.   The pups have inherited the lovely, caring nature of their mother. Gala is being adopted in the...

Happy

Happy is a dark brindle Lurcher boy.   He came from a pound down south where they thought he was about 8 years old.   However, we think he seems younger than that, maybe 6 years plus.   He is an affectionate boy who appears to get on well with all other dogs.   He has visited a home with 3 Greyhounds, a Labrador and a Staffie X and was very happy to go on walks with them and be in the house and garden playing. When out and about Happy walks like a dream onlead and sometimes looks to you for reassurance, which is quite touching.  We do not yet know how he would be with cats, however...
